But then what really is yoga?

Yoga, translated from Old Indian, means communication and unity. This is the harmony of body and mind. It includes relaxation exercises and breathing practices that help a person strengthen and heal the body, discard unnecessary thoughts and focus attention on his own body. This discipline includes stretching exercises, because their effectiveness with the aim of relaxing muscles and ligaments has been scientifically proven. But the main goal of the practitioner is not a split or gymnastic bridge. The yogi strives for harmonious movements of the body and breathing, eager to get rid of nervous tensions and become resistant to them. And, of course – and improve health. And, just due to the concentration of attention on respiratory and physical exercises, calmness, body strength and toned body is gained.

They will be useful to absolutely everyone. Children, they will help stretch the muscles, strengthen the ligaments and the nervous system. Adult men and women yoga will help not to lose shape and distract from domestic or work problems. It is perfect for pregnant women to maintain the harmony of the body and contribute to the good development of the child. But, in this case, of course, a preliminary consultation with a doctor is necessary.

Best of all is to train with a qualified trainer. Do not sign up for training to those who do not have a certificate certifying that a person knows his business. Mentor certification must be international and issued by a reputable federation. A yogi is not required to undergo training in India, but he must know his profession very well. Before you go to class, you need to know as much information as possible about the coach. It may be possible to find information on the Internet, on the official website of the school (they often publish the data of their students and teachers), or learn about it from friends. If you can’t find it online, you shouldn’t hesitate to ask for a certificate of qualification directly from the trainer.

All these precautions are needed because yoga can be traumatic with the wrong approach. As in any other physical cultures, with sudden or abnormal movements, you can pull, or even tear the ligaments. The trainer should be able to closely monitor each student and give a correctly calculated load.

Also, such options are possible when a person with good flexibility and stretch decides to teach yoga with the aim of earning. At the same time, he does not understand the whole essence of the discipline and does not know how to present it. Unfortunately, there are quite a few such cases. That is why you need to carefully choose your mentor and check his qualifications.

Independent yoga classes
If there are no services providing yoga classes in your city or you simply do not have a suitable schedule, you can do it yourself. But extremely neat.
